With a tremendous passion for horses Tracey Mitchell has built a successful business since it’s first inception in 1999 with an ever growing impressive list of clientele. As a Registered Equine Massage Therapist (R.E.M.T.), Tracey’s goals include promoting a greater awareness within the equine industry on the importance of massage therapy and the equine athlete.
Spending many years in the saddle, Tracey’s instincts and intuition were developed with early involvement in the performance horse industry. After trying out different disciplines, she realized her heart was in the sport of dressage, and in that arena she had great success. Tracey has also had a number of years experience prepping Standard bred yearlings for sale throughout North America, and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that were brought to her while working with such incredible individuals. Although Tracey’s clientele includes a broad range of disciplines, she seems to have carved out for herself a specialty niche in working with the Hunter/Jumpers.
Tracey graduated with a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. Though headed for law school, an introduction to the D’al School of Equine Massage Therapy planted a different seed. She graduated with the Award of Excellence and her career in equine massage therapy was launched. Currently Tracey is a member in good standing with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists (IFREMT). Her love for the profession is infused into her daily interactions with clients, so as to assist them in their horse’s healthcare and all that they can gain from Tracey’s knowledge and experiences as a R.E.M.T.
Tracey travels throughout South, Southwestern and Central Ontario massaging horses. Her business takes her to larger competitions including, Quebec, Spruce Meadows and the Florida circuits – West Palm Beach and Ocala.
